E-Cloud Device Management Platform
‘E-cloud’ Platform - It is a new wireless IoT terminal management platform launched by Etung Technology. Users only need to log in through one account to manage their devices uniformly, without worrying about server configuration and many other issues. The launch of the ‘E-cloud’ has improved the usability of wireless devices and further strengthened the remote management ability of wireless devices, while also possessing the ability to provide backend access services to customers.
The ‘E-cloud’ platform is functionally divided into two parts: mServer and WEB terminal management system. MServer is a communication service software independently developed by Etung, and the WEB terminal management system is a terminal information query and management system provided to users in the form of a website.
MServer is responsible for communication between mDevice (Internet of Things data terminal) and DC Client (user data service software), including management, testing, data transmission, and other functions of IoT data terminals, as well as data interaction with DCC.

The WEB terminal management system is a web-based terminal management interface provided by the ‘E-cloud’ platform for users. Users can access the WEB terminal management system through a browser, and can perform status queries, set terminal names, view traffic usage, online and offline records, signal strength, geographical location, as well as remote restart and firmware update operations on the terminal.

The application architecture of the ‘E-cloud’ platform is shown in the following figure:
1-3 The application architecture of the ‘E-cloud’ platform
The Etung IoT terminal is physically connected to the lower computer equipment (PLC, touch screen, etc.) through serial ports, network ports, and other physical connections; The IoT terminal is equipped with the address and port of the ‘E-cloud’ platform, which is connected to the Internet through 4G/WIFI/wired and other networking methods, and then establishes a communication link with the ‘E-cloud’ platform deployed on the Internet; The monitoring center computer runs Etung’s communication software(---named ‘chuankoutong’ for serial port devices or ‘wangkoutong’ for network port devices )and PLC programming software. The ‘chuankoutong’ software (or ‘wangkoutong’ software) serves as the DC client software of mServer and is connected to the cloud platform through the DCC interface. Through virtual serial port (or virtual local area network method), the lower computer IoT terminal is mapped to the virtual serial port of the local computer (or the local computer and the lower computer PLC and other devices are added to the same virtual local area network); In this way, when the computer runs PLC programming software, it can remotely access devices such as the lower computer PLC through a virtual serial port (or virtual local area network) for remote program updates, online monitoring, and other operations.
